Control Room A is the first of the Grade II* listed building’s two original Control Rooms which managed the distribution of electricity across London from the early 1930s.

From the 1930s to 1980s, Battersea Power Station was a working Power Station. At its peak, the Power Station was supplying a fifth of London's power, supplying electricity to some of London’s most recognisable landmarks, such as the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. After decades of sitting derelict, it is now open to the public as one of London's most exciting and innovative new riverside destinations.
